There is a 1.7 mile paved trail encircling the lake where one may bike, rollerblade, walk or roll a wheelchair and enjoy the serenity of nature, up close and personal!  There is a variety of birds, deer, squirrels, eagles, ducks, geese,beavers and much more, plus the opportunity for some great nature photography.  

Along this hiking trail are many nature stop / view / and sit spots with benches and overlooks.  There are nature information signs and the trail is nicely maintained.  

When building this recreational area there were many obstacles to overcome.  Where paving was not an option bridges that are handicap accessible were places.
